General FAQs

What are the dimensions of the banner?

4'h x 8'w feet

What material is the banner made from?  Can they be hung inside or outside?

All of our banners are made from a heavier vinyl (13oz) so that they can withstand elements when used outdoors.  They have grommets in all four corners for easy hanging.

Coach FAQs

What is the average time it takes from start to finish for a fundraiser?

Our process is fast! Most fundraisers receive their banner within a week of wrapping up. We typically design the banner within 2 days, and once it’s approved, we ship with 2-day delivery to get it to you quickly.

That said, we recommend allowing about a 2-week window to ensure your banner arrives right when you need it, since occasional shipping or approval delays can happen.

Who secures the sponsors?

Typically, athletes (sometimes with the help of adult fundraiser leaders) secure sponsors by reaching out to friends, family, and local businesses—either in person or by sharing the team’s page via social media, text, and email.

We also provide extra support. Athletes can submit potential sponsor contacts through our form, and we’ll reach out on their behalf with an invite from the athlete. Once sponsors opt in, they’ll receive fundraiser updates and invitations to contribute. This makes the process easier, less intimidating, and helps boost participation. Combining this with personal invitations is the most effective approach.

Are there a minimum number of sponsorships that must be sold?

The first $300 raised covers the banner design, print and shipping fee, fundraiser setup, and all the sponsorship processing fees.  Your team will receive 85% of all funds raised beyond the first $300. There is no minimum. Occasionally schools elect simply to purchase a team banner without raising any sponsorships.

How much will my team make by doing this fundraiser?

Most 12-member teams bring in $3,500–$5,000, and we regularly see motivated teams push past $10,000 in just a month! The bigger the team, the bigger the payout.

What type of file and what resolution does the team picture need to be?

Accepted file types:

We are great and working with whatever you have. We use professional upscaling software and intelligent AI to enlarge and heal your photograph. For best practice… JPEG (high resolution), PNG, TIF (high resolution), PDF

Camera Setup (to ensure highest quality banners):

  • Select the largest file size on camera.

  • Photograph the team in front of a solid colored (preferably light ex. white) clean background (ex. a wall) or if you prefer you can pick a background you would like us to use in the design (ex. home stadium or gym).

  • Make sure the light source is in front of the team as opposed to behind.

  • Use as much available space as possible on the team (avoid excessive background).

Sending Us Your Photos:

A common issue with photos is that they get texted to the coach and then forwarded to us. Once a photo is sent by text, it’s compressed and the quality drops significantly. For best results, please email us the original photo using the largest file size option available. If the photo was texted to you, ask the sender to email it instead—then forward that version to us.

Is there an artwork design fee?

The first $300 raised covers banner design, print and shipping fees.

Can we include additional images/messaging on our banner other than the team photo?

Yes, we are more than happy to include team schedules, mantras, mascots, etc. Please be sure to include a message about this in the “additional information” text box when you sign up.  Then email Support@TeamUpBanners.com with the files you would like us to use and your team photo.
