With Team Up Banners, we do the heavy lifting for you. Our team puts up to 10+ hours into every fundraiser so it’s as easy as possible for you.
When you sign up, we track down your team logo + school colors and build a custom team fundraising page with your story, social sharing, and live sponsor tracking. This becomes your central fundraising hub that you share and sponsors make sponsorships through.
We also design a custom PDF flyer with a QR code that links directly to your page — perfect for handing to businesses, posting at school / coffee shops, or sharing around town.
To make things easy, we manage: collecting sponsorships, sending receipts, gathering logos, professional banner design (they turn out great!), automated texts and emails for sending out blasts, parent letters and onboarding, recruiting volunteers, and more — so you can stay focused on your season.
We also keep a record of all your past sponsors and help you reconnect with them each season, making every fundraiser easier than the last.
How it Works:
Your team raises money through sponsorships that appear on a custom, full-color 8’ × 4’ team banner displayed at your field/gym during the season.
Each team gets a personalized fundraising webpage with your logo, team colors, goal, story, and live sponsorship tracking. Fundraising team members then share the link with family, friends, and local businesses.
Sponsors can sponsor any amount. The amounts below get specific rewards (we are happy to customize these amounts by request):
$100+ – Name or short message (ex. “Go Jenny, we’re proud of you!” Love Mom & Dad)
$200+ – Same as above only larger, or a Medium color logo
$300+ – Same as above only largest, or a Large color logo with premium placement
$500+ – Same as above but also includes shout out’s at home games
Amounts less than $100 - All sponsorships are recognized on the team’s webpage but banner placement starts at $100
As sponsors come in, they appear live on your team page and are assigned to the athlete who brought them in.
There is no upfront cost to the team.
The first $300 raised covers banner design, printing, and shipping. After that, your team keeps 85% of everything raised. Most teams raise $4,000–$5,000.
When fundraising ends, you send a quick photo of the team (phone photo is fine). We upscale your photo, professionally design your banner and ship it to you along with your check.
We also offer Invite Assist, where team members can provide the contacts of potential sponsors that we reach out to on their behalf.
Your banner becomes a season-long advertisement for your supporters — and a powerful, repeatable fundraiser you can run every year.
How Invite Assist Works
Invite Assist is an optional tool that helps your team get more sponsors while making it easy for athletes to participate.
Here’s how it works: Each athlete enters a list of potential sponsors (name and phone number) into the Invite Assist Tool. Those contacts then receive a couple friendly invitations sent on behalf of the athlete who submitted them. When a contact accepts the invite, they receive periodic updates and opportunities to sponsor your team throughout the fundraiser.
If a contact decides to sponsor, credit is automatically given to the athlete who entered that contact.
Why Use Invite Assist?
One of the biggest challenges in school fundraising is getting athletes to participate. Asking players to bring in a list of contacts is much easier — and far more likely to happen — than asking them to personally call, text, or sell products to potential sponsors.
Most sponsors also don’t respond to the first request. Invite Assist solves this by handling polite, professional follow-ups automatically, so fundraisers don’t have to keep checking back in.
Many large fundraising platforms use similar outreach systems, but typically keep 20–35% of what you raise. With Team Up Banners, you get access to a comparable system while keeping 85% of your funds.
With other similar fundraisers, sponsors receive nothing for their donation. With Team Up Banners they get advertising for their business or the opportunity to share a positive message for their sponsored athlete to encourage them all season on the banner.
Your team can still do normal outreach — texts, calls, social sharing, and in-person asks — which usually produce the highest return. Invite Assist fills in the gaps by allowing you to reach a much larger number of potential sponsors efficiently and professionally.
On average, about 5–10% of invited contacts become sponsors. That means if 20 athletes each submit 20 contacts, teams typically gain 20–40 sponsors, which can easily translate into several thousand dollars raised.
The result is more sponsors, less stress on families, and a much higher chance of hitting your fundraising goal.
Getting parents informed and involved makes a huge difference. We make that fast and easy with our Parent Kickoff tool.
Athletes simply enter their parent’s name and phone number, and the parent receives a text from their athlete with a link to your team’s custom parent letter. We create the letter for you and let you edit it to include things like volunteer needs, fundraising goals, and how parents can best support their athlete.
Teams usually do this at a practice with athletes using their phones. When Parent Kickoff is used, most teams receive their first sponsorship within hours.
Friendly Competition
Your team page shows live sponsorships as they come in. You can also choose to track which athlete or team member brought in each sponsor. We can customize this however you’d like, including adding a leaderboard that displays the top fundraisers.
Many teams use this to run friendly competitions, often setting aside a portion of the funds (for example, 5%) to reward top performers with prizes like Amazon gift cards.
